Mary Ella French, 79, died Thursday, March 4, 2004. A transplanted native of Oklahoma in 1948, Mary loved the wide open space of New Mexico, its history, culture, scenic vistas, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Her beloved father and mother, Hubert and Hattie Mae Vineyard preceded her in death. Loving family members are 2 sons, Lyle French and his wife, Mary of Louisville, CO, Ted French of Hillsboro, NM and extended family, Rose Hammons of Albuquerque, Judy Hammons Haney and her husband, Marvin of Las Cruces, NM, Brett Kroening of Denver, CO, Dennis Kroening of Albuquerque, James Hammons Harrell and his wife Peggy of Plano, Texas, Lottie Hurst and her husband, Bob of Farmington, NM, Jan Butts and her husband, Russell of Albuquerque. Mary donated many years to community, charitable, and social organizations. Her favorite was the Albuquerque Assistance League and donations to the organization would be appreciated - Assistance League of Albuquerque-Blue Portal, P.O. Box 35910 Albuquerque, NM 87110. Friends may visit, French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel on Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorial services will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 200 Alvarado SE, with Pastor John Heffelfinger officiating. A celebration of her life will be held immediately following the memorial services at Grand Court, 300 Valencia SE. Interment has taken place. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
