Alex Lee Treharn, 17, born January 19, 1987, left us to be with the Lord on Friday, February 20, 2004. He had been a student with the Los Lunas High School. He was in ROTC in high school. Alex had been a member of the Valencia County Fire Department's Dist. 3 and Dist. 10, as a Junior Firefighter. He was wanting to help others and was an organ donor. Alex is survived by his parents, Robert and Janice Treharn of Los Lunas; sisters, Jerilynn of Los Lunas, and Eva Mathis and husband, Joey of Florida; brother, Gary Harris of Florida; grandfather, Robert E. Treharn of Albuquerque; grandparents, Dorothy and Albert Harkleroad of Los Lunas; grandmother, Dyanne McElroy, and the late Jerry McElroy of Los Lunas; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends. Services will be held at Faith Tabernacle, 3831 Flora Vista SW, Albuquerque, on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. Special services will also be held at the Valencia County EL Cerro Fire Station, located at State Highway 47 and North El Cerro Loop, on Thursday, February 26, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th NW, Albuquerque. 343-8008.
