Obituary for DAVISON

Jack H. Davison, 77, a resident of Rio Rancho, died February 19, 2004. He is the son of Oscar William Davison and Virginia Hamilton Davison, and was born in MacAlester, Okla., September 29, 1926. Jack lived in Rio Rancho 15 years after moving from Joliet, IL. Jack was a veteran of World War II. He was active at his church, Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church where he was a member of the choir. He also was active with the Albuquerque Concert Band and the West Side Sound Jazz Band. He held bachelor's and master's degrees in education from the University of Oklahoma. Jack was a special education teacher in Joliet public schools until he retired after 30 years in 1982. He survived by his wife of 53 years, Marjorie Cutler Davison; four children, Katherine Wight and her husband, Keith of Salt Lake City, Utah, Patricia Davison of Rio Rancho, Holly Davis and her husband, Robert of Joliet, IL., Linda Lowery and her husband, the Rev. Lee of Alabaster, AL.; six grandchildren, Katherine Gleaves, Sean Foust, Amy Foust, Andrew Davis, Sara Lowery and Katherine Lowery; brother, Edward Davison of Long Beach, Calif.; his cousin, and lifelong friend, Gregory Clement and wife, Sharon of Metairie, La. Memorial service will be Wednesday, February 25, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church, 1004 24th Street in Rio Rancho. Private entombment will be at Vista Verde Memorial Park.
