Obituary for GREEN

Gardner Blane "Bo" Green, 79, died Saturday, February 14, 2004, in Yuma, Arizona. He was born in Rome, Georgia, and was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. After getting out of the service, he moved to Port Huron, Michigan. There he met his wife, Leona, and was married on October 18, 1952. In 1964 the family moved to Albuquerque and recently moved to Bosque Farms. He had worked at Sandia National Laboratories for 24 years when he retired in 1990. Along with his wife, he had a love of traveling in their motorhome. It was while on one of their trips that he died. He is survived by his loving wife, Leona; his son, Doug Green and his wife Pam of Spring, TX; his daughters, Pam Dellinger of Albuquerque and Susan Coatney and her husband Rich, of Bosque Farms; four granddaughters, Jenny and Nicole of Albuquerque and Trisha and Kristin of Spring, TX; three sisters, Lucille Mixon of Shelby, MI, Nell Babjack of Clinton, MI, and Marie Chinnici of Cuspamonee, HI; numerous nieces and nephews; and his devoted dog, Josie. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sharon Green in November 2001. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Bosque Farms Church of Christ on Friday, February 20, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with minister Wayne Sharp officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Albuquerque Christian Children's Home or a charity of your choice.
