Obituary for BACA

D. Roy Baca, 52, of Los Angeles, CA and formerly of Socorro, NM passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at Cedars-Sanai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He is survived by his parents, Eliazim V. and Julia (Gonzales) Baca of Socorro; brother, David R. (Rick) Baca and wife, Diana of Socorro; nephews, Noel R. Baca and wife, Kimberly of Seattle, WA and Daniel Baca of Socorro; niece, Erlinda Baca of Socorro; grandnephews, Michael R. Baca of Socorro and Ryan C. Baca of Seattle; grandniece, Katrina of Socorro; and a friend and companion of many years, Mario Hernandez of Los Angeles. Mr. Baca was a graduate of UNM and UNM School of Law. He had been an employee of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Administrator of National Banks, the past 27 years and at the time of his death was serving as Fiduciary Trust Lead Expert. Rosary will be recited on Friday, February 20, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at Steadman-Hall Funeral Home. Interdenominational funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. at Steadman-Hall with Rev. Jacinto Alderete officiating. Interment will be in the Socorro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: David R. (Rick) Baca, Noel R. Baca, Ted Baca, David Benavidez, John Castillo and Charles (Chuck) Gonzales. Arrangements are under the care of Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, 309 Garfield, Socorro, NM. (835-1530).
