Douglas Steven Fletcher, 42, of Albuquerque died suddenly and peacefully on Tuesday, February 2, 2004 at his home. Mr. Fletcher was employed by the Hilton Hotel. He was born in Orlando, FL on June 12, 1961 but resided with his family in Martinsburg for many years. He was with Lucent Technologies in Orlando, FL before finally moving to Albuquerque. He was a graduate of Hedgesville High School in WV and served in the United States Navy. Mr. Fletcher is survived by his life partner, Jeff Morehouse; step- daughter, Audrey Morehouse also of Albuquerque; mother, Billie Pryde of Martinsburg; two brothers, David Fletcher and Daniel Fletcher and his wife, Glenda of Martinsburg; two sisters, Deborah Tidmore of Duluth, GA and Martha K. Pryde of Martinsburg; several nieces and nephews; and a multitude of loving extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Louise Fowler; and one nephew, Tracey Tidmore both of Orlando, FL. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held in Albuquerque on February 13, 2004 with no other services scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a contribution to the charity of your choice or the the Vortex Theatre be made in his memory.
