Obituary for TROTTER

Miss Magnolia Richardson Trotter was the daughter of Mr. Willie Richardson, born in Lake Charles, Louisiana July 9, 1927, and was brought to Lafayette where she grew up and attended and graduated Paul Breaux High School. She then taught school at Holy Rosary Institute, fifth and sixth grade, under Rev. C.H. Winioldolph S.V.D. Director. Magnolia later attended and graduated from Southern University where she was chosen, because of her high grades, to teach in Crown Point, New Mexico. She attended the University at night and on January 29, 1967 she received her Masters Comprehensive Degree from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, under Mr. George L. Keppers, Chairman of the Department of Guidance. She held her teaching position until her retirement, due to illness. Magnolia leaves to mourn her mother Lorena Johnson Trotter of Albuquerque; her niece, Janice Broussard of Lafayette; her nephews, Clifton, of Albuquerque, Stanley and David, both of Lafayette, Larry of Iberia, and Jerry of Houston. Services and viewing will be held at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 608 Avenida Cesar Chavez SE. Albuquerque, New Mexico 87106. A viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2004 followed by the funeral services, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Rev. Victor L. Wilson will officiate. The burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE., Albuquerque, NM. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW. ABQ. 505-343-8008.
