Isabel Stephens, 69, passed away February 5, 2004. Isabel was loved by the children of Griegos Elementary and La Luz Elementary, and had retired from the Albuquerque Public Schools in 1993. Isabel was a life long member and officer of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 100, and was always there to lend a helping hand and care for others. She was the loving Mother of daughter, Kathy Silva and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Amanda Gonzales, Monique Silva, and Ruben Silva; great grandchildren, Desiree Gonzales, Joseph I. Gonzales, and Steven Daniel Martinez Jr.; special friends, Randy and Carole Ward, Sarah Grimm, and Pricilla Grimm. The angels have taken our beloved mother, grandmother, Great Grandmother, and dearest friend to join God In Heaven. God Bless You and Keep You Isabel. A short viewing will be at the Direct Funeral Services Chapel on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at the Montgomery Place Church of God, 3601 Montgomery Blvd. NE.
