Obituary for MONTOYA

Sarah T. Montoya (Gram) died Thursday evening, February 5, 2004 at her home in Albuquerque at the age of 85. She was born June 12, 1918 in North Carolina. She lived in Shelby, NC and later moved to Albuquerque to attend the University of New Mexico. She went on to work for the IRS where she retired as a field auditor. Sarah is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Montoya. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Gutierrez and husband, Edward of Los Lunas; son, Richard P. Montoya and wife, Sarah of Albuquerque; sisters, Mary Sue Thompson and Jean Barber, both of North Carolina; grandchildren, Catalina and husband, Allen, Veronica and Mike, Kimberly and Aaron, Kristopher and wife, Fay; Kenneth and wife, Kristen, Kevin and wife, Tina, and Robert and wife, Cindy; great-grandchildren, AJ, Christopher, Jared, Sadira, John Paul, Zack, Cierra, Mandy, Marco, Melody, Keith and Kyle. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Monday, February 9, 2004 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kristopher Montoya, Mike Eyster, Aaron Hopkins, AJ Chavez, Christopher Eyster, and Jared Chavez. Honorary pallbearer will be Allen Chavez. Arrangements by: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW 247-4124.
