Carolyn S. Gibbens, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1987 passed away on February 7, 2004. Carolyn was born in Newport News, VA on November 13, 1932 to Eva and Clarence Roberts. She is survived by her children, Jerri Dianne Johnson and her husband, Harry of Rio Rancho, Jeannette Darlene Berndt of Adelanto, CA, Jerry Donald Gibbens and wife, Marie of Albuquerque; Jennifer Denise Edwards of Albuquerque; brother, Clarence Roberts, Jr. of Hickory, NC; sisters, Gwyn Harrel of Dinwiddie, VA and Eldine Baker of Kill Devil Hills, NC; grandsons, Dennis Rasmussen, Jacob Gibbens, Christopher Rasmussen, Brandi Edwards, Clerrissa Edwards, Jessicca Gibbens, Alyssa Johnson, and Taryn Johnson; 2 great-grandchildren, Jennifer-Deen Gibbens and Daniel Rasmussen. Her main goal was to be Worthy Matrons of the Order of Eastern Star and twice Past Royal Matron in the Order of Amaranth and she belonged to the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She liked to do crafts and ride her bike with her grandson, Jacob. She worked at Albertson's in Rio Rancho. Services will be at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd., NW on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. with Chaplain Lem Boyles, officiating. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (505) 897-0300
