Philip L. Chavez, was reunited with his mother, father, and brothers, on Wednesday, February 4, 2004. He is preceded in death by his parents, Victorino and Maria Chavez; and brothers, Joe and Tommy Chavez. Philip is survived by his sons, Raymond "Dino" and wife, Patricia, Errol and wife, Pam, Lonnie Chavez, and Ronnie and wife, Debbie; daughter, Liz Duran; grandchildren, Vanessa, Adrian, Victor, Iris, Santiago, Ronnie II, Elysia, Sara, and Raymond Chavez, Anthony and Sarina Duran, Desaray Valdez, and Isaiah Baca; brother, Lawrence Chavez; sisters, Carmen Sisneros and husband, Pancho, and Rosie Duran; many other nieces and nephews, family and friends who loved and will miss him. Philip's lifelong passion was baseball. He loved watching his sons and grandsons play. He was a permanent fixture at Coronado Little League always in the "front row". Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, February 6, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 9, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery.
