Obituary for TABOR

Isaac "Ike" F. Tabor, 60, died Friday, January 30, 2004 in a mining accident in Deming, NM. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served with the 82nd Airborne Division as an Army Ranger. Mr. Tabor was also a Brother with the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Tabor was involved with all aspects of Mining crusher and screening and construction industry. He spent much of his career working in South America. Mr. Tabor is preceded in death by his father, John Tabor; mother, Frances Tabor; father-in-law, Felipe Chavez y Chavez; mother-in-law, Demecia A. Chavez; and sister-in-law, Jane C. Anaya. He is survived by his wife, Toni Chavez Tabor; sons, Andrew AJ Tabor and wife, Larisa, of Albuquerque and Darryl R. Tabor and Carolina of Los Alamos; daughter, Bridgette Yvette Tabor and husband, Paul Sandoval of Albuquerque; brothers, Jimmy Tabor of Albuquerque, Frank Tabor and wife, Jane of Albuquerque, Billy Tabor and wife, Lisa of Cerrillos, NM, Cecil Tabor and wife, Theresa of Roswell, NM, and Daniel Tabor of Cerrilos, NM; sisters, Hazel Gonzales of Santa Maria, CA, and Betty Jo Tabor of Galisteo; and eight grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Jessica, Katrina, ReQuaie, Isaac, Jaycob and Savanah. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Luis S. Chavez and wife, Remedios Chavez, Joe D. Anaya and wife, Rosina Anaya, Manuel R. Chavez and wife, Wendy B. Chavez, Josie C. Vega, Pauline C. Tapia and husband, Isidro Tapia, Phillip Chavez Jr and wife, Connie P. Chavez, Rita C. Sanchez and husband, Bernardo Sanchez, Juan Eliseo Chavez and wife, Rosella G. Chavez, and Tomas M. Chavez and wife, Rita S. Serna. A Rosary for Mr. Tabor was recited by Deacon George Sandoval on Wednesday evening at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services for Mr. Tabor will be held on Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated by Father Rodriguez at 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Andrew Tabor, Darryl Tabor, Jimmy Tabor, Tomas Chavez, Frank Tabor and Celestino Salas.
