Gregory Stein, 51, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 25 years, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2004. Jon was born January 11, 1953 the son of Frederick Hubert and Beatrice Rose Maher Stein in Detroit, Michigan He was an artist, and he took great pride in his art. He once said; "his art was his life". Jon came to New Mexico from the Detroit, Michigan area. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Mickey. Jon is survived by six brothers and sisters, Thomas Stein of Florida, Loretta Stein of Rio Rancho, Maureen Miller and husband Frank of Rochester Hills, MI, Dennis Stein of Waterford, MI, Anthony Stein and wife Jan Shook of Oak Park, MI, and Chris Stein and wife Gia of Rio Rancho; step-father, Lester Brasher of Rio Rancho; ten nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. A Memorial Service will be held for Jon this evening, Friday, January 30, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with Jake Finkelstein officiating.
