Patricia "Pat" L. Beckham, 76, a resident of Socorro, NM since 1952, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2004 in Socorro. She was born December 17, 1927 to Daniel G. and Mary Ann (Autrey) Hanners in Doniphan, MO. Pat was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, member of the Past Matrons and past President of the Past Matrons and charter member of the Socorro General Hospital Auxiliary where she gave thousands of hours of volunteer work. She was also a member of the Historical Society, PEO and the First Presbyterian Church of Socorro where she was an elder, deacon and Sunday school superintendent. Pat is survived by her husband of 54 years, Darl Beckham of their home in Socorro; sons, Clay Beckham of Boulder, CO and Bruce Beckham and wife, Melissa; brother, Daniel A. Hanners of Hood Rivers, OR; sister, Betty Jo Hanners of Silver Springs, MD; sister-in-law, Una Mae Beckham of Potosi, MO; grandchildren, Anthony, Kelsey, Daniel and Joseph. Pat had arranged for her remains to be donated to the UNM Medical School. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Socorro with Rev. Phil Preston officiating. The family asks that any donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Socorro or to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the care of Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, 309 Garfield, Socorro, NM.
