Eugene Velasquez, beloved husband, son, and brother was called home by our heavenly Father, Thursday, January 22, 2004. Daniel was born in Dawson, NM on November 26, 1944. He was a resident of Fontana, CA. He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Velasquez; two brothers, Freddie and Johnnie Velasquez. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Sue Velasquez of Fontana, CA; his mother, Eutimia Cruz of Cuba, NM; sisters, Lorraine Smith and Becky Hood Jacksonville, FL; one uncle, Ike Velasquez of Denver, CO; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and friends. Daniel will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those who knew and loved him. A rosary was recited Wednesday evening in Cuba, NM. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated this morning at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba, NM. Interment will follow at the La Jara Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jamael Velasquez, Marion Clabough, Orlando Montoya, Eldon Latham, Frank Duran, and Joe Martinez. Funeral services are entrusted to: Alameda Mortuary 9420 4th Street NW 898-3160
