Anna May, the eldest daughter, courageously raised her younger brother and sister, settling in Albuquerque in the mid 1940s. Anna May also raised her three children on her own and will best be remembered for her dedication to her family. To support her family, Anna May worked in the mortgage and loan business in Albuquerque for over 30 years. She was highly respected by her peers where many lasting friendships developed. She loved cooking, painting, playing bridge, Friday night bible study, and keeping in touch with friends and family. She was also active in the Republican Party and the New Mexico Federation of Republican Women. She survived many complex medical conditions and continued to maintain a positive outlook on life. She was an incredible mother, grandmother, sister and friend with a kind soul, huge heart and gentle spirit. A truly beautiful person! She is an inspiration to us all. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the entire staff of Montebello nursing home and Quality Continuum Hospice.
