Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Wednesday January 21, 2004

Scott Wilson died tragically on Monday, January 12, 2004. Scott Woodrow Wilson came into the world on September 19, 1983, in Henderson, Nevada. As an Air Force "brat" he lived with his family in Las Vegas, NV, Clovis, NM, Andersen AFB, Guam, Cheyenne, WY, Bitburg, Germany, and Albuquerque, NM. He was full of life, energy, and mischief. Scott attended Eldorado High School in Albuquerque where he wrestled, played drums in the school band, ran track and cross country, and was the captain of the cross country team. He graduated in May 2002. He played drums in a band he started with friends. The band lasted after high school and reunited in December while Scott was home in NM. They were proud to claim at least one groupie! Scott was passionate about music, especially loving the Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Coldplay. He had a wide range of favored activities including fishing, his tour of New York City (during which he spent a night on a park bench in Central Park, just to see what it'd be like), golfing, skiing, hunting, collecting rocks, sticks and a variety of wild life, and spending much loved time in Minnesota. He attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM and TVI community college in Albuquerque. He always wanted to live in MN and in August 2003, he moved north to fulfill that dream. Since that time, he had been living with his aunt and uncle Jackie and Dave Frana, who became Minnesota parents. He loved the greenery, the forests, lakes, and frequent opportunities to hunt and fish. Scott was dearly loved by his parents, Pat and Larry; sister, Katie; grandparents, Norris and Iona Keenan; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bonnie and Woody Wilson. Services were held in Rochester, Minnesota on Tuesday, January 20, 2004 and will be held in Albuquerque on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 10000 Spain. Memorials are suggested to the Make A Wish Foundation or Faith Lutheran Church."This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you.""Vincent" by Don McLean.
