Mela P., Age 92 passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe A. Garcia; her parents, Camilo and Eutimia (Apodaca) Perea. Also preceding her are three sisters, eight brothers and their spouses. Mela is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Barnett, Debbie Abeyta and husband, Tomas; her grandchildren, Alexandra and husband, Jose, Carlos, Cassandra and fiancee John; and one great- grandchild, Isabella. Also surviving is one sister-in-law, Margaret Moreno; brother-in-law, Sonny Moreno, and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She was a member of San Felipe de Neri Parish and a member of the Sacred Heart League. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 20, 2004 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar and Sons Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose de Duranes Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetary.
