Obituary for ATKINS

Mr. John Richard Morgan Atkins, 81, a resident of Rio Rancho, New Mexico passed away on January 12, 2004. Mr. Atkins is the beloved husband of 52 years to Mrs. Josephine Atkins. Mr. Atkins is also survived by four sons, Richard Atkins, Robert Atkins and wife, Diane and Andrew Atkins; four grandchildren, Cedar, Brandon, Nicole and Jennifer; one brother, Frank Brian Atkins; one sister, Jean Goldbloom and husband, Steve; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Atkins was a member of the traditional Catholic Church and was a Left Tenant in the Royal Air Force during World War I I, he fought in the Battle of Britian, was a POW in Germany and was a Squadron Commander. A visitation for Mr. Atkins will be Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. by Father Bibeau. A final visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 333 58th NW with Mass of Resurrection to be Celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Bibeau. Pallbearers will be, Richard Atkins, Robert Atkins, Andrew Atkins, Cedar Atkins, Brandon Atkins and Michael Creighton. Mr. Atkins will be taken to St. Mary's, Kansas for burial at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW 243-7861
