Obituary for BOSTICK

Homer B. Bostick, 84, passed away on January 11, 2004. Homer was born in Mississippi to Major and Mary Bostick. Homer and Charlotte moved to Albuquerque in 1946 where he took a job with Zeon Electrical Products. He was a sign writer in Albuquerque for many years, the most memorable landmark being the Flamingo Dancer for the Terrace Drive-Inn. Homer was employed by Border Machinery and retired from Highway Supply as the General Manager. After Homer's retirement, Homer and Charlotte owned and operated CB's Contractors Services, Inc., which made them well-known in the highway construction community. Homer was a southern gentleman in every aspect of his life; in his business with people or just making Sunday supper for his family, which he loved to do. Homer and Charlotte enjoyed an active social life with their many longtime friends. Homer is preceded in death by his son W. "Sam" Bostick. Homer is survived by his living wife of 62 years, Charlotte; three children: Diane Jones, Sandra Abney, and Debra Hetes and husband, Ron; eight grandchildren: Brett and Brian Jones; Erin Abney; Ashley and Christopher Bostick; Jade, Michael and Nichole Hetes, and one great-grandson, Justyn Jones; also surviving him, his dear friend, Bessie, his dog. Homer was greatly loved by many and will be greatly missed by every one he touched. A Memorial Service will be held on January 15, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options, 7601 Wyoming Blvd, NE.
