Raquel M. Ortiz, a lifelong resident of Chilili, New Mexico, passed away Monday, December 26, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Reymundo Ortiz Sr.; brothers, Miguel L. Mora and Alberto Mora; children, Alfredo Ortiz and wife, Lena, Francisco Ortiz and wife, Ramona, Mary C. Duran, Luciano Ortiz and wife, Mary Ann, Velma Gurule and husband, Orlando, Adelia Gallegos and husband, Arturo, Gilbert Ortiz and wife, Lorraine, Herman Ortiz and wife, Donna, Virginia Gutierrez and husband, Francisco, Reymundo Ortiz Jr., and Bernie Ortiz and wife, Rosenda; 40 grandchildren; 68 great- grandchildren; and six great-great- grandchildren; many other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at Holy Child Catholic Church, in Tijeras. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, December 26, 2003, at 3:00 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 27, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Chilili Cemetery, Chilili, New Mexico.
