Obituary for ESTRADA

Erinea M. Estrada, 93, was born March 20, 1910 in Las Vegas, NM, and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2003. She was a life-long resident of New Mexico, living 82 years in Las Vegas, and the last 11 years in Albuquerque. She was a devoted teacher for 33 years. She received her BA degree from Highlands University. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM and the Risen Savior in Albuquerque. Erinea was married to her beloved husband, Julian Estrada for 58 years until his death in 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paxtaleon and Sarita Maestas; brothers, Pedro, Jose, Fred, and Brejideo; sisters, Elena Montoya and Escolastica Salas, and other loving relatives and friends. She is survived by her sister, Margaret S. Gallegos, son Onofre Gallegos and wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Erik, Stephen, and Marilyn; great-grandchildren, Miranda, Anthony, and Ysabela Gallegos; sisters-in-law, Lillie Maestas and Margaret Maestas; and numerous nieces and nephews; and her loving caretaker, Maria Martinez. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 28, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at French Mortuary - Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 29, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
