Alice Julia Cox, 88, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Virgil D. Cox Sr.; her daughters, Loretta Jones, Carol Montgomery and Lynette Garner and husband, Randy; her son, Virgil D. Cox Jr. and wife, Zona; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Willa Stone and brother-in-law, Kenneth Stone. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; four brothers; and one sister. Mrs. Cox was a member of the Northeast Heights Church of Christ. Services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2003, at 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, with John Phillis officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Friday, December 19, 2003, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Albuquerque Christian Children's Home, 5700 Winter Haven Rd.
