Obituary for ARMIJO

Manuel L. Armijo, 92, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, December 17, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rose Armijo; children, Barbara Pohl and husband, Gilbert, Marcella Perrine and husband, Frank, Christine McWhorter and husband, Tom and Alfred Armijo and wife, Rose; grandchildren, Nick McAfee, Gabriel Perrine, Michael Perrine and fianc, Janice Salazar, David Perrine, Lisa McWhorter and Estrella Armijo; great-granddaughters, Brianna McAfee and Amber McAfee, all of Albuquerque; his large extended family; and his special friends at Share Your Care Adult Day Services at Los Vocanes. Mr. Armijo was a member of the Plasterers and Cement Masons Union Local #254. He enjoyed gardening and always kept a large garden at his home. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona SW, with Deacon Nestor Garcia reciting. Communion service will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Edwin Catholic Church, with Deacon Pat Santistevan officiating. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nick McAfee, Gabriel Perrine, Michael Perrine, David Perrine, Joe Mares, and Joe Torres.
