Madge Schlegelmilch, 91, of Albuquerque passed away December 15, 2003. Mrs. Schlegelmilch was born November 17, 1912 at Longsport, Indiana to Frank and Maude Myers. Besides her parents, Mrs. Schlegelmilch is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond (Bill). She is survived by her son, Charles Edward Schlegelmilch; and her granddaughters, Jane and Sara Schlegelmilch. Madge's four great-grandchildren are Jane's children, Mikalee and Rachel, and Sara's children, Paul and Nicholas. Married in 1937, she and Bill were together for 61 years, until he passed away June 27, 1998. Their favorite spot in New Mexico was always Willow Creek at Heron Lake. For many years Madge offered day care in their home to the children of friends and other working parents. Services will be held Friday, December 19, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Worship Center of Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution NE. Madge's preference is that those wishing to make gifts make them to Sandia Baptist. The family extends their gratitude to Anna Kaseman Hospice for the care given to Madge and to the many friends who have shown their love.
