Obituary for BORSCHT

Clara S.Borscht, 73, a resident of Rio Rancho for over 20 years, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2003. Clara was born January 23, 1930 the daughter of Heinrich and Rosine Ruf Stelzl in Hermaringen, Germany. She had been a cable tester for a wire manufacturing company before retiring. Clara came to the United States from Germany and lived in Connecticut for about 30 years before retiring and coming to New Mexico with her husband. She was very active as a member and volunteer with the Meadowlark Senior Center, and the Meadowlark Singers choral group; was an avid gardener who loved her flowers. She was widely known as a person who was always helping others. Clara loved animals and was devoted to her dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen in 1990. She is survived by one brother, Heinrich Stelzl; one sister, Anna Spachmann; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2003 from 3 PM to 7 PM in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with the Service on Friday, December 19, 2003 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary with Pastor Norman Zimmerman officiating.
