Aurelia L. Barela, 96, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away December 14, 2003. She is survived by one son, Candido Barela and wife, Molly of Pecos, NM; her daughters, Margaret Perea of Albuquerque, Carmel Chambers of Santa Fe, Frances Grim of Durango, CO and Mela Chavez and husband, Del of Albuquerque; a sister, Rose Abeyta of San Jose, CA; and a sister-in-law, Casmira Martinez of Dixon, NM; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Candido Barela; and ten brothers and sisters. A Memorial service for Mrs. Barela will be held Friday, December 19, 2003, 10:00 a.m., at Second Presbyterian Church, 812 Edith Blvd. NE, with Rev. Bob Woodruff officiating.
