Obituary for ARMIJO

Perfecto Armijo, 85, went home to be with the Lord on December 16, 2003. He was born on July 22, 1918 in San Antonio, New Mexico. Mr. Armijo is survived by his sons, Junior, and wife, Arturo and wife Della, Raymond and wife Lillian, Ralph, Jerry, James; daughter, Gloria; sister, Lilly Gonzales; brother, Simon and by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mr. Armijo was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita and son Johnny. Mr. Armijo was a great dancer and a World War II Veteran. He was a farmer in San Antonio, New Mexico for many years and worked with the Kinney Brick Co. His hobbies included hunting, ceramics at the VA and he enjoyed his long walks. Mr. Armijo came from a large family of 16 children. He had a wonderful sense of humor and especially loved seeing his grandchildren make muscles. Visitations will be held on Thursday, December 18, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ray Armijo, Art Armijo, Jr., Steven Armijo, Robert Martinez, Jr., John Armijo, Jr., and Demetrio Gallegos. Honorary pallbearers will be Melissa Gallegos, Marlo Armijo, Michelle Chavez, Janet Armijo, Rebecca Martinez and Rachel Martinez.
