Robin D. "R.D." Knight, 86, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque died Saturday, December 13, 2003. Mr. Knight is survived by his children, Fred Knight of Santa Fe, Patti Knight Hopper of Albuquerque, Rob Knight and wife Nancy of Albuquerque, Nancy Smart and husband, Rex of Kanab, UT and Diana Winter and husband, Doug of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Kristen Hopper, Ryan Hopper, Brad Clifton, Jeff Clifton, Scott Knight and Saxon Knight; three great-grandchildren and sister, Florence Puhara of California. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita A. Knight. Mr. Knight graduated from Albuquerque High School and attended UNM where he excelled in Track and Field and Football. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. Mr. Knight was President and CEO of L & P Building Supply Co. He was a member of the Albuquerque Country Club, the VFW, and the BPOE.
