Herman J. Valdez died Friday, December 12, 2003 in Albuquerque at the age of 60. Herman is survived by his sister, Flaviola Baca and husband, Benny; brother, Orlando Valdez; 3 nephews, Robert Baca and wife, Donna, Don Lucero and wife, Carol, and Ron Lucero and wife, Darlene; two nieces, Mercy Saiz and husband, Seferino, and Nancy Molina and husband, Ray of Seboyeta, NM; and several great nieces and nephews. A Rosary for Mr. Valdez will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2003 at St. Anne Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Baca Sr., Robert Baca Jr., Daniel Griego, Don Lucero, Leroy Griego and Rosendo Griego. Honorary pallbearers will be Seferino Saiz and Ray Molina.
