Alice M. Torres, 56, went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2003. She was born on August 12, 1947 in Chama, New Mexico. Mrs. Torres is survived by her son, Dino Torres; daughters, Mary Ann Baca and fiance, Clifford Figler and Kelly Vialpando; brothers, Jim Lopez and wife, Joyce, Joe Lopez and wife, Anna, Dennis Chavez, Ernesto Chavez and wife, Marlene and Tom Chavez and wife, Mae; sister, Nancy Rivera and husband, Gilbert; aunt, Rose Espinosa and husband, Toby; grandson, Eddie Baca and her great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Baca. A wonderful caring mother, grandmother and sister. Always thought of others first, she will be deeply missed. Visitations will be held on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Chavez, Joe J. Lopez, Anthony Rodriguez, Eddie Baca, Joseph Rivera and Sabino Torres. Honorary pallbearers will be Gilbert Rivera and Justin Wick.
