Ressa Y. Seibert, 93, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1971, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2003. Ressa was born December 28, 1909 the daughter of Elijah and Clem Young in Wabash County, Illinois. She had worked for Western Electric as a Quality Control Inspector before retiring. She came to New Mexico from Indianapolis, Indiana. Ressa was a member of the Charity Baptist Church; Toastmasters, (while living in Indiana); and the Telephone Pioneers. She loved to sew, knit and was an accomplished seamstress. Ressa is survived by her husband of 76 years, Alvin W. Seibert of the family home; two daughters, Dolores Ross of Buffalo Grove, IL, and Doris Ainsworth of Jackson, MS; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Ressa will be held today, Sunday, December 7, 2003 at 2:30 PM at the Charity Baptist Church, 5501 Obregon Rd. NE, Rio Rancho, with Pastor Daniel Kain officiating.
