Obituary for WEBB

Gregory R.,Lt.Col, USAF, retired. Greg was born on December 5, 1947 in Lima, Peru, and died on November 26, 2003 in San Antonio, TX, from complications following a liver transplant he received on August 1, 2003. He is survived by his mother, Mildred Webb; brother, Jim Webb and wife, Diana; sisters, Winnie Blount, Judy Webb, Gretchen Webb, Robbie Ruth and husband, Dean, and Paula Webb; numerous nieces and nephews, and many, many wonderful friends. His father, James R. Webb, Jr. preceded Greg in death. At the time of his death, Greg was the Executive Director of the Educational Foundation at USAA. He graduated from West Point Military Academy in 1970 and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1991. Visitation will be on Sunday November 30, from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a vigil service at 5:30 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge, in San Antonio. A funeral mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on December 1, 2003 at St. Frances of Assisi Catholic in San Antonio. There will also be a rosary for Greg at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Avenue, S.E., Albuquerque, NM. A second funeral mass will be held Friday, December 5, at 9:00 a.m., at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Albuquerque. Interment will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of University Hospital for all their care of Greg during his recent illness. They would also like to extend their gratitude to the people of the Hospice San Antonio who helped during Greg's final hours. Lastly, they would like to thank all of Greg's co-workers and friends for all their love and support throughout his illness.
