Macaria Ruiz passed away in the late afternoon of November 18, 2003. She was surrounded by many of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Manuel Ruiz, and their 13 children. Her six sons, Lazaro, Hilario, Manuel, Anselmo, Carlos and Daniel Ruiz. Her seven daughters, Maria Esther Monsivais, Angelina Crespin, Lupe San Miguel, Luz Elena Solis, Irma Ruiz, Noemi Ruiz, and Rebeca Ruiz. She also leaves her love and legacy through 29 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by us all, including the many friends in her congregation here in the United States, and that of her native Mexico. "For every thing there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven."
