Obituary for SPAULDING

M. Virginia Spaulding, 90, a resident of Albuquerque for over 60 years, died Thursday, November 13, 2003. Her husband, Fred Spaulding, preceded her in death. Her brothers, Francis Lee Beltz, Walter Leroy Beltz, and Jack Hubert Beltz also preceded her in death as well as her sister Lillian Genevieve Myers. Her family was instrumental in the railroad industry in Kansas and was at the forefront of westward expansion. They moved to Albuquerque in the late 1940's due to illness from tuberculosis . Virginia also survived the polio epidemic. While she never had any children of her own, she became "Aunt Ginny" to many children. She was a member of Grace Bible Church and was very involved in Native American Missions in New Mexico. She is survived by the following members; Roy Gene Beltz, Raymond Erickson, Jerry Lee Spaulding and Nelson Spaulding. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE, with Pastor Don Wilson, officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Friday, November 21, 2003, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Missions Fund, 8600 Academy NE, 87111.
