Obituary for HILL

Nancy L. Hill, 72, of Edgewood died on November 13, 2003 at her home. Nancy was born on September 10, 1930 in Nocona, Texas to Eddie and Faye Walton. Nancy married Chester I. Hill on April 22, 1948 in Albuquerque. She has lived in Edgewood for 54 years, moving there from Stephenville, Texas. She and her family have been members of The First Spanish Fruit Avenue Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for the 54 years. Nancy was also a former Librarian at the Edgewood Elementary School and had served for over ten years as a volunteer to the Santa Fe County Cooperative Extension Service. Nancy had also won numerous awards in needle point work, which she was very accomplished. Graveside Services will be held on Monday November 17, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the Barton /Mt. Valley Cemetery in Edgewood, with the Rev. Bernie Moraga officiating. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday November 18, 2003, at 2:00 PM at the First Spanish Fruit Avenue Baptist Church in Albuquerque, 812 Fruit NW one block south of Lomas at 8th street. Nancy is survived by her husband, Chester I. Hill of the home. She is also survived by two sons, Clifford Hill of Albuquerque and Brad Hill and wife Tammy of Edgewood. Also surviving is a brother, Ernest Oliver of Buda, Texas and a sister, Charlotte Senefeld of Montgomery, Alabama. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Monica Montoya, Ian Hill, Collette Hill and Spencer Hill. In Lieu of flowers the family of Nancy request Memorial contributions be made to the Baptist Children's Home in Portales, New Mexico.
