Obituary for DUTY

Mary Lois Duty, 80, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, November 13, 2003. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn B. Winfrey and husband, Ronald of Michigan City, IN, Sandra Joy Lacoste and husband, Jerry of Murchison, TX, and Gail Lois Thompson and husband, Bob of Albuquerque; son, Gregg E. Duty of Albuquerque; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Burl E. Duty. Lois was a member of First Baptist Church for over 54 years where she enjoyed playing the piano at church events. She was an active member of her church and spent time volunteering her time at nursing homes and the Lions Club. Services will be held Monday, November 17, 2003, 10:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 101 Broadway NE, with Pastor Steve Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ron Winfrey, Jerry Lacoste, Carl Dabbs, Rodney Stewart, Glen Bucalo, Chad Fletcher. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Sunday, November 16, 2003, 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Noonday Ministry, P.O. Box 25451, 87125.
