Leona "Lee" Peterson Connelly - Our Heavenly Father called our beloved mother home on November 12, 2003. She is survived by her family - son, James Connelly and his wife, Peggy Connelly, and Peggy's son, Sean; daughter, Beth Kearney and her husband, Richard Kearney, their children Paul, Michael, Heatherlee Nawman and her son, Logan, and Shaun and his wife, and daughter, Desiree and Rose Kelly Renee. She was a resident of Rio Rancho, NM since 1969, was a proud member of the "Nine Holers" club, an avid bridge player, and reader until macular degeneration took her vision. She continued to be an enthusiastic slot player until her death. Lee was a woman of faith and belonged to St. Thomas Aquinas Church and was involved as she could be with the Altar Rosary Society. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the New Mexico Federation of the Blind. Bless you all for all of your prayers and support of the family. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Rio Rancho.
