Obituary for CORDOVA

Senovia Cordova, 79, went to the arms of the Lord on Monday, November 3, 2003, surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of Belen, New Mexico for over 21 years, formerly of Veguita, New Mexico, where she was born and raised. Senovia was born on March 10, 1924 to Felipe and Anna Vigil. She was married for 52 years to Fermin Cordova, who preceded her in death in 1991. One brother Espiridion also precedes her in death. Senovia is survived by her ten children, Agnes and her husband, Rosendo Torres of Belen; Luis Beltran and his wife, Terri of San Antonio, Texas; Isabel and her husband, Ernie Salazar of Belen; Hubert and Sally of Belen; Gerald and Karen of Cortez, Colorado; Julienne and Doug of Los Lunas; Beverly and her husband, Don Zemke of Los Lunas; Phillip and his wife, Veronica of San Antonio, Texas; Louanna and her husband, John Trujillo of Los Lunas; Irwin and his wife, Priscilla of Jarales; and her companion Ruben Sanchez. She is also survived by thirty-one grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and by eight brothers, Delfin, Timeteo, Joe, Gabriel, Veraldo, Richard, Henry and, Walter; three sisters, Mary Griego, Rita Chavez, and Frances Snively. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2003. All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Veguita Catholic Cemetery. Senovia will be laid to rest next to her beloved Fermin. Pallbearers will be Jacob Baca, Gabriel Salazar, Shawn Montano, Chris Sanchez, Luis, Jeremiah, Ashley, Jonathan, and Brian Cordova. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen, NM 87002.
