Clara Perez, 75 of Santa Fe, passed away on Oct. 29, 2003 surrounded by her loving family members and friends. She was born August 24, 1928, in Palma, NM. Clara was preceded in death by her son, Victor Perez III in August 1992; husband, Victor Perez, Jr. in June 1994; father, Enriques Chavez; and mother, Isabel Chavez. She is survived by her daughters, Mabel Patel and husband, Manu of Santa Fe, Loretta Trujillo and husband, Lawrence of Albuquerque, and Dolores Gonzales and husband, Louis of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Gina, Pravin and Victor Patel; Michelle and husband, Alberto Cuessy; Nikka and husband, Mike Baldwin; Andrea Trujillo; Louis, Jr., Myranda and Nicholas Gonzales; Courtney, Victor IV, and Chelsea Perez; great-granddaughter, Isabella Cuessy; sisters, Mela Encinias, Della and husband Ted Gonzales; Isabel and husband, Julian Gallegos; brother, Manuel and wife, Maida Chavez; many nieces, nephews and other relative; and very special friends, Ruth Ortiz and Sophie Moe. Clara helped her husband, Victor, on their ranch for many years. She was a successful Avon representative for 36 years and made many friends. She loved people and was always willing to help anyone in need. Clara loved to sing, dance and take care of her grandchildren. She was loving and caring, and we will miss her very much. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Center, 1400 Chama Ave., Santa Fe, M< 87505. Serving as pallbearers will be Pravin Patel, Victor Patel, Louis Gonzales Jr., Nicholas Gonzales, Mike Baldwin and Alberto Cuessy. Honorary pallbearers will be Victor "Tory" Perez IV, and Arthur Ortiz. Visitation will begin on Friday, October 31, 2003, from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., Berardinelli Family Chapel. A Rosary will be recited later that evening at 7:00 p.m., Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Mass will be held Saturday, November 1, 2003, 10:00 a.m., Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment will take place at the Encino Catholic Cemetery, Encino, NM. A reception will follow interment at the Encino School Cafeteria.
