Obituary for FICKEL

Ollie B. Fickel, 98, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, October 26, 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Lee Wallin and husband, Wally of Kennewick, WA; son, Bill Fickel and wife, Sue of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Kim Salemme and husband, Jack, Kyle Wallin and wife, Diana, Kathy Tomlinson and husband, Erik, and Kevin Fickel and wife, Lisa; seven great-grandchildren, Traci, Kari, Emily, David, Amanda, Trevor, and Tyler; and several nieces, nephews and many friends. Mrs. Fickel was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph A. Fickel. She was a Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, Past Noble Grand of Rebecca Lodge, Past Guardian of Woodmen Circle, taught Sunday school in different departments in the Methodist Churches, Past President of Methodist Women, Past District President of Methodist Women, and received special Mission Recognition by United Methodist Women. Services will held Saturday, November 1, 2003, 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 9500 Constitution Ave NE, with Dr. Roy Elmore officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel on Friday, October 31, 2003 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Ollie Fickel to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 9500 Constitution Ave NE, 87112.
