Obituary for MONTANO

Julia Montano, age 86, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister was called home to be with the Lord our Savior, Friday, October 24, 2003, while surrounded by her loving family. Julia was born in Placitas, NM to the late Jose and Elvira Trujillo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Montano on June 3, 2002. She is survived by her loving children, James Montano and wife Julia of Rio Rancho, Arthur Montano and wife Bertha of El Paso, TX, George Montano and wife Rita, Larry Montano and wife Lydia both of Bernalillo, Pat Montano and wife Viola of Albuquerque, Clyde Montano and wife Joyce of Rio Rancho, Christine Montano of Albuquerque, and Liz Abeyta and husband Robert of Albuquerque; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Miquela Rodriguez and Josephine Ringling; one brother, Jose Trujillo and wife Barbara; a very close friend of the family's, Edna Yoder; other relatives; and friends. Julia will be greatly missed by her loving family. The family sincerely appreciates the staff of Valle Norte Nursing Center, for the years of loving care given to our beloved mother. Visitations will be Sunday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Las Placitas Presbyterian Church in Placitas, NM. Evening services will be conducted Sunday at 7:30 p.m. also at the church. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at Las Placitas Presbyterian Church at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Jane Harmes Officiating. Interment will follow at the San Antonio Land Grant Cemetery in Placitas, NM. Casket bearers will be Julia's sons, James, Arthur, George, Larry, Pat, and Clyde. Honorary bearers will be her grandsons, Alex, Jaime Armando, Isaac, Gabriel, Matthew, Dominic, Larry, Jr., Leonard, Eric, Steven, Adrian and Adric.
