Alice Faye Hoppes, 64, a resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 21, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Willard P. Hoppes of Albuquerque; daughters, LaDonna Hall-Gamble and husband, John of Leesburg, VA, Toia Faye Morgan and husband, Troy of Fairmont, WV, Diedra Sirrae Faulkner and husband, Nelson of Stafford, VA and Lynda Gail Hoppes of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Nakisha, Shaun, Jessica, Sherese, Candace, Kent, Kylie, Rocque and Karlin; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Haroldie Kent Spriggs and France Ruth Thomas; brother, Sammie J. Kent and wife, Connie, all of Albuquerque; and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may visit God's House Church, 2335 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Saturday, October 25, 2003, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m., at God's House Church with Bishop Michael Shelby officiating and Bishop David Cooper eulogizing. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Services were held in the Roundhouse Rotunda in Santa Fe, Thursday, October 23, 2003, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friends may also visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Friday, October 24, 2003, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Council of Negro Women, PO Box 21001, Albuquerque, NM, 87154-1001.
