Maria "Rita" Sanchez, 67, a life long resident of Albuquerque, died on Monday, October 13, 2003. She is survived by her brothers, Clarence Sanchez of Cuba, NM and Alex "Danny" Sanchez of Corrales, NM and sister, Victoria Souza of Eugene, OR. Rita was preceded in death by her parents Elias Sanchez in 1976 and Anita Sanchez in 1973. She worked at Goodwill Industries and K-Mart. Rita was very active with Alameda Senior Center and Cornucopia Adult Day Center, and was loved by all. Services will be held Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Memorial services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., at Valley Christian Church, 2850 Gun Club SW. Graveside services will take place Friday, 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
