Geraldine M. Fuller succumbed to a brief illness and passed away peacefully October 12, 2003. She was born April 21, 1918 in Waco, TX. Geraldine spent her early years in the Lone Star State before moving to Shawnee, OK, where her father took the position of Professor of Violin at Oklahoma Baptist University. Geraldine was not only beautiful, but she possessed a remarkable intellect. She was an avid reader, accomplished musician and a talented artist. During her college years she dated a young and ambitious writer named Louis L'Amour, but when she happened upon the man who would become the love of her life, Andrew J. Fuller, her destiny was clear. Geraldine and Andrew were married January 3, 1941, and spent 55 wonderful years together. They settled in Albuquerque in 1956 and raised two children. Andrew was taken from her by cancer in 1996. Her life was one of never-ending kindness and generosity. She loved all God's creatures and, sadly, had to leave behind her precious Siamese cat, Lizzie. She adored her family and supported each of them with unselfish love and devotion. When the Lord called to her, she was ready to be reunited with Andrew. It was her greatest wish and strongest faith. The warmth of her spirit will live on and give comfort to our saddened hearts. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Garrett, and son-in-law, Michael of Albuquerque; grandsons, Kevin and Clancy Garrett of Albuquerque, and Shawn Garrett of San Diego, CA; her son, Larry Fuller of Albuquerque; her brother-in-law, Lloyd Fuller and wife, Maxine of Albuquerque; her sister-in-law, Loise and husband, Kenneth of Shawnee, OK; in-laws, Dolores and Russell Garrett of Albuquerque; and her dear friends, Elizabeth Crain and Missy Chiuminatto of Albuquerque.
