Milton Gilberto Torres, 77, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away at a local nursing home on October 13, 2003. Milton was a member of Queen of Heaven Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Aurlelia Sanchez Torres who passed away April 24, 1993, and one sister Lenora Chavez. Survivors include one son, Raymond Torres and wife Nelda; one daughter, Maria Christina Salgado and husband Lorenzo; four grandchildren, Raymond Jr., Michael, and Nicole of California, and Gabriel of Albuquerque; three sisters, Lucy Montoya of Gallup, New Mexico, Henrietta Barela and husband Greg, Rita Griego and husband Edward all of California; two brother-in-laws, Ernest Chavez of California, Pablo Sanchez of New Mexico; three sister-in-laws, Adela Guitierrez, Irene Sanchez, and Nestorita Lujan, all of New Mexico. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2003, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors. Funeral mass will be held Thursday, October 16, 2003,10:00 p.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with father Deacon Pilar Garcia officiating, internment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
