Alfonso P. Tafoya, 69, of Las Vegas, Nevada, died October 11, 2003. He was a retiree of the Albuquerque Public School District and a decorated veteran of the Korean War and United States Air Force. He is survived by his children Daniel Tafoya and wife Bonnie of Las Vegas, NV, Yvette Tafoya-Leyba and husband Rudy of Albuquerque, Alfonso Tafoya Jr., of Albuquerque and Rosella Tafoya-Cedillo and husband Cesar of Denver, CO, 5 grandchildren, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, October 15, 2003, at 7:00 P.M. in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary and is being performed by Deacon Manuel Garcia. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in San Felipe Catholic Church in Old Town, with Deacon James R."Bob" Lewis officiating.
