Deborah Lynn Mares, 49, went to be with Jesus on October 11, 2003. She was born on October 17, 1953, in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Robert and Jeanette Fay Mares of Los Lunas, New Mexico. She was residing in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her extended family and friends of ARCA at the Fairbanks home. Debbie loved animals, especially dogs, and one of her favorite past times was watching the Animal Planet. She is survived by her parents; four brothers, Jim Mares and his wife, Jennifer of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Edward Mares and his wife, Sandra of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Brian Mares and his wife, Connie of Bernalillo, New Mexico; and Joe Mares and his wife, Jackie of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four sisters, Liz and her husband, Mike Olmstead of Portland Oregon; Linda Ruth Arballo of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Audrey and her husband, Ted Olsen of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Barbara and her husband, Dennis Garcia of Los Lunas, New Mexico. She is also survived by very special friends and caretakers at ARCA and the Fairbanks home, and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be held on Friday, October 17, 2003 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Los Lunas, 914 Los Lentes Rd. SE, Los Lunas, NM.
