Marion Helen Hobbie died October 14, 2003. She was born March 21, 1917 in Grand Rapids, MI to Howard and Winnie Gaskill. As a child Marion moved to Berkley, CA. She married Theodore V. Hobbie on December 20, 1940 in Salt Lake City, UT. A longtime resident of Albuquerque, she is survived by her loving husband, Theodore; two daughters, Teddie Brewer and Julia Hobbie-Low; two grandchildren, Steve Brewer and Lisa Lynn Chapman; and two nephews, Ron Taylor and John Taylor. Marion was active in the Daughters of the Nile and in the Ostomy Association and was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2003 at St. Marks On The Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Place NE. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Ballut Abyad Perpetual Fund, P.O. Box 8410, Albuquerque, NM 87198.
