Obituary for BERNARD III

Nelson T. Bernard III, age 47, a resident of Albuquerque for 45 years passed away on September 21, 2003. He is survived by his parents, Nelson T. Bernard Jr. and Mary Rosalyn; three sisters, Karen Lee of Las Vegas, Nevada, Pamela Johnson of Nageezi, NM, and Louise Sims of Irving, TX; six nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer P. Bernard. Nelson was a graduate of Manzano High School and went on to graduate from the University of New Mexico. He was determined to establish himself throughout his life and over came many obstacles with persistence, great determination, and courage. He went on to become a very successful electrical journeyman. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. local union 611, and was also a member of the Victory Love Church. Bernard was a very kind and gentle man who was always referred to as a gentle giant who loved his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2003, 2:00 p.m. at Victory Love Fellowship, 7201 Central Ave. NW Albuquerque, New Mexico with Pastor Jack Connor officiating. Reception to immediately follow at Victory Love Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution can be made to IBEW Local 611 for the Ted Bernard Fund.
